Wisdom

Pro 1:20  Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:
Pro 1:21  She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,
Pro 1:22  How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
Pro 1:23  Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

King Solomon wrote these words by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit as a warning to the children of Israel, and also to those that are "afar off" Act 2:39  For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Wisdom is understood as the wisdom of the Words of God and the teachings of the KJV Bible.   The effects of God's Word are plainly seen in everything good that happens in our world today.  The words of God are proven, even in our political Halls of Justice and in our governmental courts of rule. 

However, in Wisdom we find a constant pleading of the Word to His people to turn unto her for clarity and guidance.  The Word of God is so easily ignored through the cares of life and the bodily toll for all of us who work and toil for a living.  Luke 8:14 & Luke 21:34

Oddly enough, the people who need God the most are those who are caught up in life's demands and child rearing.  These cares are defined as the DEMANDS OF LIFE, are are sometimes viewed as being put upon them from God's blessings.  However, if not careful, the blessings if conceded too, those DEMANDS can take time from God.

Those who deny themselves of the Holy Word seem to dislike or hold the word in contempt because the time it takes to read his word.   Reading the Bible takes to much time from their daily DEMANDS, wants and perceived needs for family, friends, hobbies or the internet.

Solomon calls this denial a HATRED of the Word of God.

Their hate for the word is ignored and denied.  It is obvious to Solomon that those that don't read the word, have a hatred of the word, because doing the work of reading the word takes their time and desires away from their own time of pleasure. 

Not reading the Word of God is a very subtle form of SELF-CENTEREDNESS!  Self-centeredness, is the needs of self are greater than the needs of anyone else, including ignoring Jesus. 

Those that are SELF-CENTERED do NOT, recognize, NOT reading of God's Word as denying the Lord!  They see it as something that they may have to read SOMEDAY, but not TODAY. 

They feel and have tricked theirselves that they are "OK" with God and are still receiving their blessings, which they believe is God's approval for their own selfish behavior.

Not reading the Bible is a baby step to Spiritual Suicide, which Bro Cary preached was and is the start of a life ending process.

Do you want to remain SELF-CENTERED, to start your own Spiritual Suicide, than simply DON'T READ THE HOLY WORD OF GOD!.

If you want to gain Eternal Wisdom and Eternal Life, read the word and to help you to read God's Word, God has sent to you the Holy Ghost to teach you the understanding.  Lean upon His Spirit and God will lead you to understanding.
